Q: How long do captures typically take to process? What impacts them?
A: Anywhere from 30 minutes to 24 hours depending on a couple factors. Head to ‘Uploading & Processing’ in the Teleport Knowledge Base to learn more about what impacts scan times.

Q: What can I do if capture upload is taking too long?
A: Ensure a stable Wi-Fi connection. Do not navigate away from the Teleport app during the upload process or turn off your phone. Avoid switching WiFi networks or connectivity methods, and be patient as uploads can take time depending on the scan size.

Q: What if the upload process fails?
A: Try logging out and back in once connection is restored to allow the upload to restart automatically. If the problem persists, visit 'Capture Recovery'.

Q: Are there any limits as to how large of a space I can capture?
A: There is currently no known area size limit. We have tested captures from 5m2 (53.8ft2) to 1000m2 (10763.9ft2).

Q: Can I import other scan data, point cloud files, or input images from other sources / cameras into Teleport for reconstruction?
A: Importing of other file types or camera inputs is not currently supported. Teleport only operates on devices with iOS 17+. Go to 'System Requirements' to learn more.

Q: Are there any types of spaces that don't scan well?
A: Typically, rooms or areas without many unique features or distinctions can prove to be difficult in reconstruction. Tight spaces without much room might also be difficult to navigate around spatially, leading to lower quality reconstructions.

Q: Can I rename my capture after I've finished capturing?
A: Yes. When viewing a capture on the web, click on the 'More' button in the bottom right > 'Rename'.
